Anyone who likes Twitter will enjoy Not Quite What I Was Planning: Six-Word Memoirs by Writers Famous and Obscure. This is a collection of entries sent to SMITH magazine in answer to their challenge to writers to sum up their lives (or moments in their lives) in six words. It starts with a fascinating introduction by the Editors about some of the entries that were sent to them along with items which included a photo of a deceased wife in a bridal gown and a packet of miniature origami animals. A few are funny, but most are poignant. It’s amazing what can be summed up in six words.
