Our next Anime & Manga Club meeting is rapidly approaching! Join us this Wednesday, October 19 at 4pm in Meeting Room B to watch anime with other teen otaku, eat delicious snacks, and win some giveaway prizes!
Even if you can’t make it on Wednesday, you probably already know that there are lots of sources online for watching anime. But did you know that your favorite streaming sites may not be legal? (Sites that may include words like “kiss” in their name, for example.) Worse, choosing an illegal source over a legal one costs the anime industry a lot of money — as in, millions of dollars. That’s revenue they could be using to make new series or give better budgets to planned series! So it’s worth your while to sit through a few extra ads, if you have to — it pays off in the long run.
“But Crayola,” you may be thinking, “it’s such a pain to search to try and find which sites have the series I want to watch! Illegal sites have everything all in one place.”
Great news — you don’t HAVE to search three or four or seven sites. There’s one fantastic, extremely up-to-date website that’ll do it for you: Because.Moe.
Using Because.Moe makes your life easier AND helps you support the anime industry. You don’t have to individually search Crunchyroll AND Funimation AND Hulu AND Netflix AND The Anime Network AND Daisuki (and probably one or two others I can’t remember), because this site will do all of them. All of them! Hooray!
Bonus: you can search for the English title or the (romanized) Japanese title and either version will bring up the series you’re looking for. How helpful is that?
Have you used Because.Moe before? Do you know of a site like this for online manga searches? Let us know in the comments!
